The ankle is made up of two joints, the upper ankle joint and the lower ankle joint. Together, these joints provide a diversity of movements in the ankle. The upper ankle joint provides for forward/backward movement and the lower ankle joint provides for lateral tilting of the ankle and foot. This diversity of movements can result in a variety of complaints in the ankle.

One of the most common ankle complaints is a sprained ankle. This can result in damage to ankle ligaments and muscles. In addition, we also see a lot of athletes with Achilles tendon complaints.
